Accessibility statement

1. What this covers

This statement covers the pizzasmilegroup.it website, in Italian and English, run by Gruppo Tessarin S.r.l. (Via Curicchi 12, 45011 Adria, Italy).

It does not cover the ordering app or the other outside services the site links to: more on that below.

2. Compliance status

The site is partially compliant with the accessibility requirements of the European standard EN 301 549, which refers to the WCAG 2.1 level AA guidelines.

"Partially" means that the main pages (home, pizzerias, menus, promotions, FAQ, about us, work with us, allergens and the legal pages) were checked and no problems were found, while some content listed below is not yet compliant.

3. What we have already done

• Clear structure: the language of each page is declared, each page has a single main heading and an orderly hierarchy of headings, the page areas (header, content, footer) are recognisable to screen readers, and a "Skip to content" link lets keyboard users skip the menu.
• Images: photographs that carry information have alternative text written by us; purely decorative ones (like the stickers) are hidden from screen readers.
• Keyboard: the menu, the frequently asked questions, the home carousel and the buttons can be used with the keyboard alone, and the spot you are on is highlighted.
• Contrast and legibility: colours and text sizes were checked on all main pages, on both phone and computer; the site does not prevent you from zooming in.
• Motion: if you have turned on "reduce motion" on your phone or computer, animations, the carousel and background videos stop.
• Forms: the fields we ask you to fill in, like the address to check delivery, have a clear label.

4. What is not yet accessible

Automatically moving carousel and slogan strip. They stop when you hover over them with the mouse, while you navigate inside them with the keyboard, when you press the Esc key or when "reduce motion" is on, but there is not yet an always-visible pause button (WCAG criterion 2.2.2).

"Play with us" and "Game park" games. These are entertainment pages inherited from the previous site and have not yet been brought up to standard. The arcade games Piz-Man and Motoboy can only be controlled by touching and swiping the screen, so they cannot be used with a keyboard or screen readers, and they prevent zooming the page. Some red text on white backgrounds in the game pages has a contrast just below the required threshold (4.3:1 instead of 4.5:1).

Services from outside companies. Some features are provided by other companies and their accessibility depends on them, not on us: the ordering app and table booking, the survey, the collection of video reviews, the review widgets (Climbo and TripAdvisor) and the address suggestions from Google Maps.

5. How we prepared this statement

The statement was drawn up on September 23, 2026 from a self-assessment carried out by us: automated checks with the axe-core tool on the main pages of the site, on phone and computer, in Italian and English, and a review of the code for the keyboard and motion features.

An audit by an independent body and a systematic series of tests with screen readers have not yet been carried out: they are in our plans.

If a page is not accessible for you, or you need content in a different format, write to us at info@pizzasmilegroup.it or call your local pizzeria. Tell us the page address and what you cannot do: we will reply as soon as possible and, when needed, offer you an alternative.

7. If you are not satisfied with the reply

If you do not receive a reply, or the reply does not satisfy you, you can contact the Agency for Digital Italy (agid.gov.it), the authority that oversees the accessibility of digital services in Italy.

8. What we want to improve

We plan to add an always-visible pause button to the carousel and the slogan strip, to bring the game pages up to standard, and to complete our checks with screen-reader tests. We will update this statement at every step forward.
